Engineering Tech I With minimum supervision, responsible for any combination of engineering technical duties which require a high degree of accuracy in one or more of the following functions: Testing, Mechanical, and Customer Support. Responsibilities Testing Processes + Review incoming lab requests, determine test requirements and apply general knowledge to independently complete testing setup. Follow direction to complete all necessary testing documentation, equipment setup and data capture and complete data post processing to show testing compliance. Independently set ‐ up and operate all lab equipment. Perform post test analysis and prepare final test report datasheets based on specification requirements. Demonstrate a working knowledge various specifications. Mechanical + Perform quality related lab tests and data acquisition. Demonstrate ability to operate lab equipment including titration, particulate count, tensile and computerized test systems where applicable. Customer Support + Performs technical maintenance on a variety of laboratory equipment. + Plans and coordinates requests from customers and generate reports of technical product or service problems and results. + Reviews performance trends, reports and documentation. Recommends and may provide technical assistance or take other corrective actions. + Maintains and analyzes detailed performance and maintenance service records. May instruct customers on the operation and proper use of equipment and ensures accuracy of work. + Maintains and analyzes detailed performance and maintenance service records. All Specialties • Demonstrated ability to proficiently utilize all lab and test equipment. • Maintain up‐to‐date qualification data and daily log books on each project. • Recommend new techniques, systems, procedures and preventative maintenance to improve overall efficiency. • Make recommendations for the purchase and/or use of equipment. • Interface with employees from other functional areas i.e. design engineering, process manufacturing, quality, etc. • Assist less experienced personnel and the ability to learn from more experienced personnel. • Perform other related responsibilities. Qualifications + Four years related experience, trade or military training, or good understanding and demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities. + Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings, sketches, schematics and procedures. + Advanced knowledge in both Hydraulic and Electromechanical actuation systems, a plus. + Familiarity with aerospace flight control systems, a plus. + Basic PC and electronic console skills where applicable. + Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
