Tenable Cloud Security was born out of the acquisition of Ermetic, an innovative cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) company, and a leading provider of cloud infrastructure entitlement management (CIEM). The acquisition combines two cybersecurity innovators and marks an important milestone in Tenable’s mission to shift organizations to proactive security. The combination of Tenable and Ermetic offerings will add capabilities to deliver market-leading contextual risk visibility, prioritization and remediation across infrastructure and identities, both on-premises and in the cloud.

Your Role:

Lead the design and development of Tenable’s new Cloud Network Security systems, creating scalable, high-quality solutions that are easy to maintain.

Serve as the main technical point of contact, working closely with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to shape the roadmap for cloud network security.

Guide architectural decisions, making sure that solutions align with Tenable’s goals, meet security standards, and are built for long-term use.

Lead efforts to identify and fix large, complex production issues, establishing best practices for problem prevention across our systems.

Build a strong engineering culture, providing hands-on mentorship and setting high standards for coding, security, and teamwork.

Your Opportunity:

Architect and build core infrastructure for cloud-based network security, leading projects to add new features and keep our systems running smoothly at scale.

Drive the evolution of our software, handling database connections, API designs, and significant system upgrades to support Tenable’s growth in cloud security.

Lead efforts in automation, testing, and continuous delivery to ensure quick and reliable deployment of new features.

Manage large projects from start to finish, influencing key technical decisions, setting direction, and ensuring successful outcomes for Tenable’s cloud network security.

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related experience, with strong server-side development skills and deep knowledge of cloud and network security.

9+ years of software engineering experience, including leading high-impact projects for cloud infrastructure or network security.

Expertise in programming languages like Go, C#, Java or Python with a flexible approach to new technologies.

Successful experience designing and deploying secure, scalable cloud services on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and cloud networking.

Proven track record in mentoring and supporting engineering teams, building a culture of technical strength, security best practices, and operational excellence.

Strong skills in managing multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines, and influencing engineering standards across a team-oriented environment.
