Engineering Technician, Cell Engineering - Cathode Team

A top employer in the E-Vehicle industry is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician to support our onsite Cell Engineering team in the development and production of cutting-edge battery cells, specifically focusing on the Cathode team.
As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in our Cell Engineering team, primarily operating machinery and handling materials. Your responsibilities will include mixing materials for 3 to 4 hours daily, characterizing those materials, running tests on powders, and evaluating them using calendaring tools. You will work closely with a dedicated team to manage powder input and facilitate the operation of both large pilot and desk-sized calendaring tools, ensuring efficient production processes.
Your day-to-day activities will encompass performing routine tool setup, machine cleaning, and assembly, along with taking detailed notes on processes and updating electronic logs. You will collaborate with the Lead Technician to ensure all machinery is functioning optimally, assisting in diagnosing equipment issues and supporting preventive maintenance. Additionally, you will work in a controlled dry room environment, adhering to strict safety protocols while managing the handling of dusty powders.
SHIFT:
Monday - Friday: Flexible start time- ideally roughly 10 am - 6 pm PT
Must be flexible to work some overtime
IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
75% of this technician's day will be spent in a dry room with PPE being worn including a respirator
