Duties & Responsibilities 40% Operates the Geotechnical Explorations Drilling Rig and Cone Penetrometer Truck (LECOPS). 20% Sets up and dismantles drill rig and ECPT truck; Sets up and dismantles Traffic Control Devices. 20% Drives Drill Rig, ECPT truck, tank truck, or utility truck to and from job sites. 5% Extrudes samples from Shelby tubing, assembling and breaking down split-spoon drive barrels, and cleaning samplers for future use. 5% Maintains the department's Geotechnical Exploration equipment and vehicles. 5% Clears obstacles such as trees and brush using chain saws and other tools to provide access to job sites. 5% May be required to perform duties as necessary including, but not limited to, emergency/disaster support activities.
