Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
Operates analytical instrumentationPerforms standard analytical test methods for quality control, material assessment, or engineering evaluationProvides technical support to plant personnel on a variety of tasksGathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changesFollows engineering documentation requirements including specifications and drawingsPerforms detailed mathematical calculations using established formulasPerforms quantitative judgments concerning technical dataPrepare, assemble and disassemble known and unique energetic articlesDisposes of energetics and raw materials per regulatory guidelinesCommunicates well across multiple disciplinesMonitors gauge, instrument, and equipment calibrationsPerforms a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactionsSupport research scientists with operation of sub-scale mixersAble to work overtime as requiredMinimum Qualifications:
Must be willing to work 2nd shiftHigh School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience to qualify.Technology Degree preferredAbility to routinely lift 30 pounds and ability to work in tight spacesDemonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshootingAbility to work independently and with minimum supervision.Proficient in MS officeAbility and willingness to provide coverage on weekendsExperience handling energetics, hazardous chemicals, and solvents preferredAbility to obtain a security clearance as neededExperience in a manufacturing environment preferredSalary Range: $47,000.00 - $78,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
