Engineering Technician 4
Job Title: Engineering Technician Job Description We are seeking an experienced Technician 4 with a background in surface-mount technology (SMT) to join our team. The ideal candidate should have the ability to set up machines, troubleshoot, and perform basic programming. This role involves supporting the entire department and working with cutting-edge equipment in the chip-making industry. Responsibilities + Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and program SMT machines. + Troubleshoot and perform rework on capacitors and other components. + Support senior engineers in executing customer projects and engineering builds. + Collect data for reports. + Assist in laying out and executing test plans. + Train other team members as needed. Essential Skills + 3-4 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment. + High school diploma required; AA or AS degree preferred. + Proficiency in arithmetic (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing all units of measure, including decimals and fractions). + Intermediate computer skills, including Excel, SAP, and Outlook. + Ability to stand or sit for extended periods. + Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. + Fine motor skills for handling small parts and tools. + Close vision, color vision, and depth perception; 20/20 corrected vision may be required in some divisions. + Eligible to work in an ITAR-regulated environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + IPC 610 or J standard certifications (preferred). + Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, Lean, and Six Sigma principles (preferred). + Ability to work independently and ensure quality work. + Experience with similar equipment lines used by large companies. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.86 - $32.32/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
