Job Description
As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality standards on the production floor. Your primary responsibility will be to document data and non-conformances, ensuring that all products meet specified standards. You will be actively involved in inspecting products, setting up and verifying quality equipment, and conducting visual inspections to ensure proper labeling and barcoding. This role demands a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times.Monitor the statistical process control (SPC) software suite called Gainseeker.Monitor, measure, and document line processes to ensure conformance to product master specifications.Examine and document packaging components and finished product assembly for conformance to specifications.Program, calibrate, and assist in the setup of Hi-Speed check weighers, Videojet, and Marsh coders.Program and monitor the Automated Inventory Management system for identifying and tracking finished production.Place non-conforming products on hold for disposition by the QC Manager.Pull product retain samples.Comply with all company policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience in a regulated or quality environment.Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, conversions).Attention to detail for quality checks and inspections.Interest in learning new responsibilities and the quality engineering field.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma minimum with relevant experience or an Associate's degree in an engineering-related discipline.Strong interest in the industry and quality engineering as a career path.Pride in work and ensuring accuracy in details.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Work Environment
This position involves spending almost 100% of the time in the plant. The role requires being on your feet daily, conducting inspections and ensuring product quality. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.75 - $21.75/hr.
