Engineering Technician
Miller Brother Staffing in York, PA has the immediate need of an experienced Engineering Technician.  

Pay Rate – $22-$24/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 6am-3:30pm

This position supports the Engineering Supervisor and broader engineering team in the execution of day to-day technical operations related to manufacturing process development, support, and continuous improvement. This individual must exhibit strong attention to detail, technical intuition, and organizational capabilities. This is a hands-on role involving the maintenance and programming of production systems, CAD work, documentation, file management, and collaboration with both internal teams and external customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
. Provide daily technical support to production staff and engineering team to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
. Assist in programming and setup of assembly machines including SMT, selective solder, AOl, and other coordinate-based equipment.
. Assist in the creation and/or manipulation of Bills of Materials for quoting and kitting of orders.
. Maintain and organize digital files, drawings, and configuration-controlled documentation per company procedures.
. Create, edit, and interpret CAD drawings and design files to support fixture development, customer requests, and process improvements.
. Support new product introduction (NPl) through the generation of accurate work instructions, tooling support, and equipment programming.
. lnterface with Engineering Supervisor and lead technicians to address process issues and implement corrective actions or engineering change orders (ECO's).
. Follow established procedures for documentation control, including revision updates and change requests.
. Communicate effectively with cross-functional departments (production, quality, purchasing) to support accurate and timely execution of deliverables.
. Participate in root cause analysis, corrective action efforts, and process audits as assigned.
. Train and mentor junior technicians and production team members as needed.
. Perform other duties as assigned to support team goals and company objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field - or equivalent practical
experience.
. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Wndows file systems.
. Experience with 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD; familiarity with 3D CAD is a plus.
. Experience or demonstrated aptitude in machine programming software for coordinate-based equipment (component placement, selective soldering).
. Basic knowledge of electronics, components, and PCBA manufacturing processes.
. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with close attention to accuracy and completeness.
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
. Ability to work independently under limited supervision, with sound judgment and initiative.
. Able to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and technical documents.

Preferred Qualifications:
. Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics contract manufacturing or EMS
. Familiarity with IPC standards, especially IPC-A-610.
. Prior use of ERP/MRP systems such as Manex, Cetec or similar.
. Experience writing work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
. Exposure to mechanical fixture design (3D modeling, fabrication drawings, etc.).

Physical Demands:
. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel equipment and tools
. Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
. Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and multitasking across departments.
. May be exposed to noise levels typical of a manufacturing floor.
