As a result, a full-time position is available for an Engineering Technician at our Wauwatosa, WI office location. This position will support our Construction Engineering & Inspection team, performing tasks such as construction inspection and materials testing on various transportation construction projects. Responsibilities include: Construction inspection Materials testing and sampling Field measurements and documentation Quantity calculations Contractor communication Interpret construction plan drawings and specifications Occasional travel and evening or weekend work may be required. The successful candidate will have all of the following: 2 or more years of relevant experience Associate degree (or higher) in civil engineering technology, construction management, or related field from an accredited institution Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following qualifications: Construction inspection experience (WisDOT preferred) Knowledge of materials testing equipment and procedures HTCP Materials Testing Certifications Knowledge of survey equipment Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsoft Office, and AASHTOWare Project software At Mead & Hunt we shape the future by putting people first.
