The Role -
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking anEngineering Systems Engineer to work out of its state-of-the-art facility inSidney, NY.
TheEngineering Systems Engineer will be responsible for the administration, development, and optimization of the CREO CAD and Windchill PDM systems, as well as related engineering and technical systems. This role involves utilizing specialized technical expertise to design, implement, and manage complex engineering systems and solutions that align with organizational goals. The position requires exercising independent judgment and decision-making authority in developing and improving engineering business processes, configuring systems, and resolving complex technical challenges.
Onsite, hybrid option may be available following training period.
The key responsibilities of theEngineering Systems Engineer include, but are not limited to:
+ Engineering Systems Strategy and Implementation
+ Develop and implement an engineering systems strategy to improve efficiencies and streamline processes across the design engineering organization.
+ Lead system integration efforts and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
+ Establish long-term roadmaps for engineering systems and associated technology platforms.
+ System Development and Process Improvement
+ Design, develop, and test new or modified web-based applications, applying advanced programming techniques and methodologies.
+ Benchmark engineering systems, evaluate potential improvements, and prepare cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making.
+ Define, document, and implement superior business processes in collaboration with engineering and operational stakeholders.
+ Technical Oversight and Administration
+ Oversee the evaluation, installation, and maintenance of new releases and updates for CREO and Windchill systems.
+ Configure and manage engineering systems, including workflows, configuration files, and tools to support a transition to a Model-Based Definition (MBD) environment.
+ Serve as the primary technical liaison with software and system suppliers.
+ Systems Analysis and Support
+ Analyze and interpret technical and business requirements to design and implement robust system solutions.
+ Provide advanced-level support for system and application issues, ensuring timely resolution of complex technical problems.
+ Train users and create detailed procedural and technical documentation to enhance user adoption and system efficiency.
+ Collaboration and Leadership
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system needs and propose innovative solutions.
+ Provide strategic input on engineering system-related projects and initiatives.
+ Maintain responsibility for ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability.
Salary: $61,500 - $85,000

The Person -
The key skills and qualities of anEngineering Technicianat Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a systems administration, engineer, or software development role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Proficient in Microsoft tools and platforms.
+ Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CREO or equivalent) and Product Data Management (Windchill or equivalent) systems is highly preferred.
+ Understanding of programming, scripting, and systems integration techniques.
+ Proven ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in solving complex technical and business problems.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to train users and create comprehensive documentation.
+ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
+ Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting.
+ Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
+ Ability to lift and carry light to moderate weights as needed.
+ Flexibility to support East Coast business hours to align with the user base.
+ Minimal travel is required but may occur occasionally.
