Engineering Technician

Description: The Engineering Technician will act as a support role for qualifying new or repurposed metal cutting equipment under direction of the Manufacturing Engineer assigned to a project

Work closely with engineering team leads throughout project phase launches and assisting with any/all electrical/mechanical troubleshooting issuesAssist with equipment specifications while coordinating the repositioning of existing equipment for new machines Recognize, troubleshoots and direct repairs equipment operating problems with appropriate team membersHelp with machine, tool, equipment validationWork within FANUC controls systems PLC programming existing machines and newly installed machines

Qualifications

3+ Years of electrical/electronic technician experience in a manufacturing environment Working knowledge of PLC and/or Robotic programming (modifications/edits) An in-depth knowledge of coolant, hydraulics and pneumatics systems with the ability to troubleshoot and program Working knowledge of electrical/electronic test equipment (e.g. multimeters, ammeters, voltmeters, etc.). Experience troubleshooting automation equipment Working knowledge of machine control circuits and understanding of schematics

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Programming and troubleshooting (FANUC controls preferred) from clean sheet10+ years of electrical/electronic engineering technician experience
