Job Title: Engineering Technician

Job Description

The Reliability Engineering Technician’s primary duties are to utilize engineering skills to contribute to the development and qualification of new and released products. The technician is an integrated member of the team reporting to the Reliability/Quality Team Lead. Throughout a product’s development cycle, this position requires cross-functional communication skills and analytical expertise to help launch new and/or improved, exciting solutions that meet user needs.

ResponsibilitiesSupport reliability engineering to review new product designs and engineering changes with respect to product reliability, user requirements, and warranty information.Participate and collaborate with engineering teams to help drive various aspects of reliability and testing.Track engineering requests from numerous groups simultaneously to ensure engineering needs and timelines are being met appropriately.Develop test fixtures and procedures based on new or established products, to ensure product meets customer requirements.Prepare testing materials to be consumed during testing of various power tools.Collaborate with test laboratories to ensure test completion and procedures are utilized.Report and present test status, challenges, successes, and improvement opportunities.Draw concise, logical, written conclusions from experiments based on data analysis.Utilize engineering applications, data loggers, test equipment, hand tools, and fabrication machines to build, wire up, and measure/monitor test progress/performance.Procure tools, materials, test equipment, and other items needed for testing. Ship and receive items on an as-needed basis.About Actalent
