Job Title: Engineering Technician
Job Description

We have a current opening for an Engineering Technologist to support design projects. This role involves taking field notes back to the office and designing them in BOUD, which is similar to MicroStation. You will also create a bill of materials and prepare project and job packages using Expert Designer and WMIS, including material estimates and material requisitions required for distribution electrical designs. Designs will be in 2D.

ResponsibilitiesTake field notes and design them in BOUD.Create a bill of materials.Prepare project and job packages using Expert Designer and WMIS.Develop material estimates and material requisitions for distribution electrical designs.Design in 2D.Essential SkillsDrafting and designing using standards.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation.Knowledge of electrical design and engineering principles.Graduation from a two-year or four-year college or university with a B.S.Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles.Ability to research engineering and design issues, evaluate alternatives, and make sound recommendations.Effective written and oral communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and initiative.Additional Skills & QualificationsLeadership and/or customer interaction experience in a different industry (retail, restaurant, etc.).Experience interacting with customers and developers.Current knowledge of BOUD, Smallworld, Bentley, and Microstation.EIT/Passed Engineering Fundamentals Exam.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00
