Summary You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Facility and Infrastructure Management Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will provide assistance in the continual refinement of facility requirements based on customer needs and overall plant requirements and readiness. You will offer assistance in the preparation and justification of short and long-range plans for modification, rearrangements and modernization of industrial processing and support shops. You will analyze floors, walls, roofs and drain systems for safe operation and condition as well as coordinate studies for continual improvements to the facilities and supporting systems. You will manage plant equipment by identifying and analyzing customer requirements to ensure planned maintenance cycles are current and being carried out by maintenance crew. You will determine specific project requirements with customers and facilitate in the development of necessary engineering drawings, sketches, and supporting documentation for project implementation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Certification by the Institute will be helpful as a measure of the technician's quality of experience.
