Job Description:

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

Essential job responsibilities:

Assist Engineer to develop and maintain test proceduresParticipate in Root Cause Analysis on failuresAssist in component level debug on the product in test labsProvide input to develop and maintain Test Bill-of-Process and Work InstructionsParticipation in reoccurring engineering related Test Readiness ReviewsAssist in maintaining Government/Customer Furnished EquipmentHelp manage tools and test equipment to support the production floorAssist with Test Machine Maintenance and repairParticipate in Failure trend analysisAssist in Out-of-Tolerance reporting for test equipmentWorking daily in a lab environmentAble to lift up to 32 lbsOvertime may be required to meet deadlines

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Fully proficient knowledge of RF and digitals signalsFully proficient of basic Analog, Digital and RF circuitryComfortable using PC based applicationsFully proficient using test equipment (RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, voltage meters and oscilloscopes)Must be able to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.+2 years of experience preferred in RF and digital signals.+2 years of experience with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters.
