**Description** SAIC is seeking an **Engineering Technician II** for our customer site in **North Charleston, SC** to support the **US Navy** to install cable, mounting kits and other equipment in radio rooms of new construction submarines. **JOB DESCRIPTION:** + Work with others who prepare design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of machinery and equipment + Research, design, develop, and test installation of new equipment + Integrate and fabricate cables **Qualifications** **REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** + Associate degree in engineering technology, or formal electronics training from: Technical School, Class A or B Military school in electronics or communications; or four year electronics apprentice program and three (3) years of experience; or High School and eight (8) years of experience + Must have appropriate experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of digital computers, computer peripheral/ interface equipment, VME based systems, digital, switches, radio frequency transmitters, receivers, antennas, and modems **REQUIRED CLEARANCE:** + Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain + Must be a current U.S. Citizen SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
