Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician III for the Redstone Test and Engineering Services contract, supporting the ARmy Division.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
5 years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization: or 2 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 3 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty.Mechanical – At least 4 years of the 5 years’ experience must include successful completion of 1 year of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts.A minimum of 2 years of mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
2yr Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in either of the following: Aerospace Technology – WeldingAerospace Technology – Structures & AssemblyIndustrial Maintenance – MechanicalClass “A” CDL with hazmat endorsementWelding experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support mechanical operations in and around test stands and fixturesOperate and maintain equipment for test supportLPART (Liquid-Propellant-Action-Response-Team) certified or ability to obtain once hiredComprehend various test setups and lead the mechanical responsibilities while following applicable standard operating procedures Operate forklifts from Class VII and below, mobile and overhead crane, and other similar equipment
