ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NAVAL ARCHITECT)
Summary You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NAVAL ARCHITECT) in the Planning Department, Planning Yard Division of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will be responsible for providing naval ship design services such as: development of detailed specifications, material, quality assurance, and test requirements. You will prepare technical sketches, modify drawings, list materials, and prepare work packages for lower graded technicians. You will prepare estimates for work required for individual shipalts. You will prepare technical reports and memorandum on shipalts, repair items and emergency waterfront problems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing and reviewing technical documents, such as drawings and specifications, for ship alteration projects. FOR GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing and reviewing technical documents, such as drawings and specifications, for ship alteration projects.
