The Central Engineering Group within Marvell develops advanced silicon IP for all Marvell business units supporting industry leading solutions for the growing datacenter, enterprise, optics, storage, automotive and accelerated AI computing markets. As a member of the CE team, you will have the opportunity to work with multi-disciplinary teams from chip design, validation, software, and PCB designers to develop internal chip test infrastructure.What You Can Expect
Lab Operations & Maintenance:
Daily maintaining lab benches ensuring cleanliness and organized.
Managing components, boards, and equipment inventories using management tools and spreadsheets.
Ensure all lab equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly, performing routine checks, and troubleshooting as needed.
Assist in shipping and receiving logistics.
Soldering rework to place and remove SMT components (as small as 0402) on PCBs.
Detail oriented when following assembly procedures.
Equipment Setup & Testing:
Set up and operate a variety of semiconductor testing equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, and thermal units.
Conduct detailed measurements and tests on evaluation boards and test chips.
Collect and organize test results to provide detailed reports to team members highlighting anomalies or issues.
Work together with IT to setup lab computers.
Process Development & Optimization:
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and refine testing processes for new semiconductor technologies.
Implement process improvements to enhance lab efficiency and accuracy, reducing downtime and increasing throughput.
Assist in the development of test protocols and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Technical Support:
Work together as a team with team members to accomplish projects and tasks at hands.
Train lab personnel on proper equipment usage, safety protocols, and testing procedures.
Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting complex technical issues within the lab.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all lab activities comply with company safety policies and industry regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and maintain documentation related to lab safety and compliance.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect lab personnel and equipment.
What We're Looking For
Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a semiconductor lab environment.
Extensive hands-on experience with semiconductor testing equipment and tools.
Proven track record in lab management, including equipment maintenance, process development, and team coordination.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in the use of semiconductor testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and thermal units.
Strong understanding of semiconductor technology, including device physics and materials science.
Familiarity with data analysis software and tools used in semiconductor testing and characterization.
Soldering skills in PCB rework.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills with team members, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Other Requirements:
Ability to lift and move lab equipment as needed.
Willingness to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized lab environment.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
32 - 48, $ per hour.The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
