Catalyst Technologies (CT) is a market leader in the syngas value chain. It develops and supplies high-value, specialty process technology and catalysts for chemicals and fuels processing to enable our customers to operate efficiently, profitably, and sustainably. The Engineering Technology Manager is responsible for managing and participating with local and global engineering/R&D teams to ensure the ongoing development and commercialization of CATACEL SSR™, as well as supporting manufacturing operations and automation projects. They are also responsible for R&D of CATACEL Technology product opportunities, collaborative projects both internal and external, that serve to advance JM CT’s strategic vision to provide innovative technology solutions to the energy transition.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead and manage CATACEL SSR product R&D and NPI project, using in-house and global technical and related resources to devise and execute workable and commercially practical technical solutions for complex product and manufacturing challengesProvide technical input and support to the global commercial and product modelling teamsCommunicate with commercial teams and customers to guide them towards viable technical solutionsTroubleshoot complex technical problems and document resultsStrategically develop CATACEL Technology coating capabilities. Devise new and disruptive product and process concepts, and drive the techno-commercial efforts needed to advance internal and external relationships and technology developmentOrganize and manage complex technical project deliveryDevelop cost estimates and project plansPerform technical engineering analyses in process, chemical, mechanical, and energy disciplines, making decisions on approach and defining resulting path forwardReview and approve engineering designs, process work instructions and other documentation created by the teamUse LEAN manufacturing techniques and principles in mechanical manufacturing process developmentEnsure that technical risks are managed appropriatelyEnsure strategic development and maintenance of the CATACEL Quality Management System (QMS)Take on any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructedRequirements for the role:
Master’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, plus 7-10 years of relevant experienceTechnical strength in process design, systems design, energy systems, heat transfer, fluids, thermodynamics, systems modelingComputer skills – MS office, CAD, ProjectStrong understanding of process elements and engineering issuesEngineering, analytical and calculation skills – mass balance, heat and energy balance, thermodynamics, materialsAble to analyze, interpret, and react to technical issuesMechanical awarenessKnowledge and experience of basic shop safetyProject management experienceDesign of experiments, analytical methodsAble to work with hands and toolsKnowledge of LEAN principlesHow you will be rewarded:
