Engineering Transform and Digital Manager (Fixed-term contract until 30 Sep 2028)
Role Introduction

Reports to: Head of Transform Projects

Engineering’s role is focused on reassurance, keeping our people and our customers safe, ensuring that in every aspect of our operation we have industry leading performance and that our various fleet programmes are delivering to plan, budget and specification.

Engineering’s ambition is to be one of the world’s highest performing, customer centric and progressive engineering teams and the role of the Digital Transformation Manager is responsible for driving the Digital Transformation in Engineering.


This requires developing internal digital solutions, and collaboration with Corporate Digital team and selected partners to develop digital services and solutions to support improving Engineering processes and decisions. Championing the intelligent use of digital data and analytics across Engineering.


The team leads and motivates the Engineering Digital community for the development of self-service data analytics and digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Develop the Engineering Digital Strategy and RoadmapDeliver insights and analytics to relevant business problemsProvide Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge and best practice on Engineering data and analytics toolsExpand Engineering digital capability and grow Engineering Digital community,Champion Data Analytics self-service community (using Skywise, MS Power Suite and other analytic tools)Work with corporate Digital to build and manage an Engineering data model that supports Engineering needsWork with the corporate selected partners to develop Digital Services in the best interests of the company, with a specific focus on Engineering specific information, e.g. Defect Alerting, Diagnostics, Prognostics and Predictive MaintenanceProvide Engineering data to support other departments and 3rd party such as MROsEnsure data integrity and accuracy of global informationRequirements
Typically, 10 years’ experience in aviation, aircraft maintenance, engineering and/or IT analyticsDegree in Engineering/ Aerospace/ IT Analytics discipline or a proven data analysis roleProven experience in digital management and project managementProven experience in supervising and managing complex cross-functional projectsStrong leadership skills, proven ability to manage across departments; OEMs; lessors and suppliersStrong in communication, influencing and negotiation skillsStrong drive for excellenceAdaptable and responsive to change, demonstrate ability to drive changeProven ability to drive and manage multi-skilled teamsPersonal & Application Information
