Job Summary:
Responsible for implementing all aspects of security engineering including but not limited to device development, software/firmware development, application development, embedded system development, and network connectivity into our products in compliance with regulatory requirements.  

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership to internal teams on projects involving hardware, firmware, and software design of cybersecurity features for medical devices

Lead the development of secure device software (e.g., Firmware), applications, networks, and cloud services

Contribute to product design reviews as a cybersecurity expert

Participate in testing activities such as functional safety and electromagnetic compatibility

Identify security risks associated with new products or existing products identified through threat modeling, code reviews, static analysis, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and other risk assessments

Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to implement mitigations for identified risks

Support clinical investigators and customers in validating cybersecurity features during preclinical studies and clinical trials

Create documentation related to cybersecurity for both internal and external audiences


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience required

Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience

Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, networking protocols, and data encryption techniques

Experience developing embedded software for microprocessor-based systems

Familiarity with medical device regulations such as IEC 62344 and ISO 14971

Excellent communication skills and ability to influence others

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

$99,000.00 - $163,300.00 USD Annual
