Their curiosity and openness to new ideas feed our strategic direction and ultimately make our vision a reality.The SMB Ongoing Customer Due Diligence (OCDD) team are a customer & business centric team responsible for assessing all SMB customers who request to change their bank account details and at regular intervals in their lifecycle, through periodic reviews and event driven reviews (EDR) such as additional outlets and change of legal entity. This is to ensure that we know who the customer is, how they operate and their ownership structure. This helps to protect Worldpay and the industry from financial crime, money laundering and terrorist financing. The team balances AML risk processes with fantastic customer experience. We are looking for a specialist associate to join our growing department.

What you’ll own

Review standard risk customers, to validate and verify customer information against public records and assess against internal risk criteria.Contact customers via email, webchat, and telephone to request, and provide, additional information required to support the review.Review adverse screening checks on clients and undertake follow-up research as required.Escalate cases, and red flags, as required to Specialised Due Diligence teams for further assessment.Meet internal sellers, and relationship managers, virtually and in person, when required, to support the process.Manage personal workloads to ensure queues are dealt with in a timely manner and support your peers with their queues on a needs must basis.Manage assigned escalations from internal and external partners to ensure customers’ requests and reviews are completed as quickly as possible, whilst ensuring we remain compliant.In addition to the role of a CDD Associate, you will also review moderate risk and high-risk customers and perform Targeted Due Diligence (TDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).You will also evaluate all high-risk cases that have been referred for approval.You will provide expert policy advice, and be a liaison to internal risk, compliance, and legal teams.

What you bring

Knowledge of CDD and EDD policies and procedures, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a CDD/KYC, or similar, role.Superb diligence and an ability to apply creative problem-solving techniques and tools to compliance issues.Outstanding judgement & decision-making skills with the ability to utilize various sources and types of information to conclude an investigation and make subjective decisions based on sound rational.Strives to get things right first time, every time.Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner.Looks for efficiencies that could support your colleagues and business skills managing multiple tasks.Confidence and assurance to be able to critique work and provide feedback.Provide understanding of downstream impacts.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal communicationAbility to identify opportunities for process improvements and to challenge the status quo.Ability to work autonomously along with being a good team member.Humble – You never stop learning, no matter how experienced you are.
