About the Position
The Enrollment Growth Strategist supports outreach and recruitment efforts for WWU Peninsulas through the creation and management of admissions related communications for prospective students in Slate, digital marketing campaigns and social media strategy. Working in consultation with WWU Bellingham marketing and communications professionals, this position helps create and sustain enrollment growth plans for the Peninsulas, including degree programs, SEA Discovery Center and more. This position reports to the Senior Director, Western Locations with dotted line reporting to the Director of Marketing in Bellingham.
Job Duties / Responsibilities:
(35%) Prospective Student Communications and Slate Data Management
+ Write and implement prospective student-focused drip campaigns in Slate, designed to inform, educate and nurture prospective students about WWU Peninsulas programs
+ Collaborate with program directors and the Graduate School to create prospective graduate student communications for relevant programs
+ In collaboration with admissions and Peninsulas leadership, recommend strategies and plans to address opportunities and gaps in the enrollment funnel with the aim of increasing inquiries and converting more of these to applications, and ultimately to enrolled students
+ Contribute to building and updating Slate-hosted applications and forms as needed to support existing and new Peninsulas programs
+ Effectively track and measure campaign success and ROI through regular monitoring and reporting of data through the entire enrollment funnel, from lead generation and nurturing through enrollment
+ Analyze Slate data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Senior Director, Western Locations and other key stakeholders including admissions colleagues
+ Create and manage a suite of admissions and enrollment related reports for Peninsulas programs
+ Support report requests from program directors and staff
(35%) Digital Marketing and Social Media
+ Plan, research, execute, measure, and adjust programmatic and search digital marketing campaigns and brand awareness campaigns driven by KPIs, conversions, and analytics to drive enrollment growth for Peninsulas programs
+ Work collaboratively with WWU marketing and admissions teams to ensure that all marketing reflects consistent and timely on-brand messages that are regionally relevant; serve as local branding SME to ensure consistent tone and voice
+ Coordinate with third-party vendors/contractors involved in the production of publications and other marketing and communication materials
+ Develop and manage execution of enrollment marketing plans through effective project management and collaboration with marketing, communications, admissions, and creative teams
+ Develop and manage comprehensive social media marketing strategy for WWU Peninsulas programs
+ Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance using analytics tools to measure the success of campaigns and makes data-driven decisions when posting
+ Manage WWU Peninsulas Facebook and Instagram accounts, including engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and fostering a positive community
+ Utilize basic graphic design skills using tools like Adobe Photoshop or Canva and basic video editing tools such as Capcut, Adobe Premier Pro, and others
+ Maintain knowledge on the latest social media trends and best practices; make recommendations for content that aligns with these trends
(20%) Communications and Public Relations
+ Create and publish stories for web, social media and newsletters that highlight WWU Peninsulas programs, faculty and student accomplishments
+ Coordinates external and internal communications flow for press releases, magazine content, and newsletters as appropriate
+ Collaborate with University Communications leadership to ensure regular updates and successes are highlighted across the greater university community
+ Create email outreach campaigns for fundraising to support student scholarships, SEA Discovery Center and other needs as appropriate
(10%) Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or related field
+ At least two years of marketing experience; a total of 4+ years of relevant work experience
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Demonstrated history of successful teamwork and evidence of positive collaboration across various departments or units
+ Excellent organization, project management, and time management skills involving the execution of multiple, simultaneous projects of varying size and scope
+ Demonstrated experience in using and administering CRM systems
+ Ability to work on campus in Poulsbo or Bremerton regularly to facilitate collaboration and engagement with Peninsulas students, faculty and staff to fulfill job responsibilities and meet established goals
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience using Slate for admissions marketing and outreach
+ History of progressively responsible experience developing and executing successful strategy, enrollment, marketing, brand management, and/or advertising initiatives
+ Successful experience in creating and standardizing metrics and analytics to assist in measuring the costs and impact of key messages, communications strategies, and tactics
+ Work experience in higher education

Salary Hiring range is $67,984 - $78,182 depending on qualifications and experience. Through longevity position tops at $88,379/year.
