BASIC FUNCTION:
Carry out a full range of enrollment services and/or admission services activities. Maintain a significant role in one or more functional areas of the Graduate School office, such as application review, operational functions, staff training, and development. Responsible for the direct supervision of Enrollment Services Representatives.
Duties and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the activities of Enrollment Services Representatives, academic advisors, and
student workers, both undergraduate and graduate. Train new hires.
Coordinate all aspects of enrollment and/or admissions procedures.
Work closely with the Director of Graduate Enrollment Management on various matters or issues related to enrollment and/or admissions of graduate students. Assist in supervising staff, ensuring efficient and effective procedures and assisting with software and data needs.
Provide excellent customer service in the form of walk-ins, phone calls, emails, and
Office Management. Counsel students on enrollment services and admission matters.
Interpret and explain Federal, State, and University policies, procedures, schedules,
deadlines, and other operational information as they relate to enrollment services and/or
Admission.
Develop and maintain office procedures documentation and train new hires. Serve as a resource for issue resolution.
Represent the Graduate School at department meetings, recruiting events, and informational webinars as well as participate in staff meetings and other committee meetings as determined by the Director of Graduate Enrollment Management.
Assist with developing, maintaining, and improving admission (Slate) software, including application cycle review, data queries and reports, and data accuracy. Assist with supporting training and issue resolution through webinars, guides, and responding to inquiries and issues.
Utilize internal and external databases such as eCampus, Slate, and CAS.
Evaluate and process admissions applications in accordance with University policies,
goals, and rules on admissibility of graduate students. Review international transcripts, review residency paperwork to determine residency status, process deferment approvals and request missing information when necessary. Process application acceptances and denials in eCampus, Slate and CAS.
Assist with the tracking and development of new program applications, materials, and the updating of relevant information such as on the Graduate School website, Slate application and email campaigns, etc. Assist with the development, testing, and implementation of new technological solutions.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform other duties as assigned.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
Personal computers, printers, word processing, database management and spreadsheet software. eCampus. Slate.
Required Qualifications REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Minimum of two years of experience in an enrollment services and/or admissions operation (i.e., registration and records).
3. Demonstrated professional experience in an area of specialization (i.e., admissions).
4. Demonstrated supervisory experience.
5. Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
6. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.
7. Demonstrated experience working with a student information system (e.g., e-Campus) or similar database.
8. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED:
1. Demonstrated experience managing, maintaining, and processing admission decisions.
2. Demonstrated experience developing office procedures documentation and training new staff members.
3. Demonstrated experience in a Slate CRM.
4. Demonstrated experience in rolling out admissions related technological solutions and assisting with QA testing and issue resolution.
