Key ResponsibilitiesDescription: Position is for an experienced Application Packager who will be responsible for complete administration and management of Applications packaging - project assessment, software packaging, custom scripting, pilot testing, user acceptance and communication and associated with large scale software deployments. This role is for Windows 10 Migration projects.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Flexera AdminStudio , Flexera InstallShiled , ITIL Foundations, Application Packaging, Application VirtualizationExperience in creating installation packages using one or more of the common packaging technologies Install Shield, and Windows Installer (MSI, MST, conflict Management, VB Script, Custom actions) Using shims and other techniques for application compatibility remediationExperience with any application virtualization tool like Thinapp, APPV etc.Microsoft Assessment and Planning ToolkitExperience building MSIs using Install shieldA working knowledge of standard client platform administration, configuration, rights management and file accessKnowledge of the Windows registry, interaction of drivers within the OS, and unattended/silent installs of Windows operating systemsknowledge of System Centre Configuration Manager latest CB version(Experience on scheduling pushes on to the client machines from SCCM / SMS Console, run reports & queries)Application Compatibility testing and Software DistributionExperience in Operating System / Office systems, Deployment, Migration.Prepare relevant documentation such as known errors, solutions, major incident reports that will help in continuous improvement.AppDNA Technical Implementation or ReportingManage strategic engagements while providing exceptional customer service on Windows 10 planning and migration projectsDevelop and present comprehensive analysis and documentation of the customer current state of operations and recommendations for Windows 10 and/or Office 365Maintain a high level technical expertise in Applications Packaging best practices, industry trends, and technologiesBe able to development supporting documentation to Applications Packaging tasks including Requirements Gathering and User Acceptance TestingPresentation skills for both technical and management presentationsStrong interpersonal, customer orientation, team interaction, analytical and decision making skillsSecondary functions:

You will be successful in this role if you have:
Bachelor’s degree, technical degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 3+ years of experience in Application Packaging with Excellent knowledge of Application compatibility testing, packaging using industry best tools.Experience in proactive administration and management services and supportPackage off the shelf application Install / uninstall and troubleshoot applications.Ability to use the best packaging technologiesCreate MSI / Transforms / Patches, ThinApp and APP-V packagesWrite documentationDistribution of software via SCCM 2016User Acceptance TestingApplication reporting on installation / upgrade / removal statusManaging requests, incidents, change and problem records.
