The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) has an exciting opportunity available for an Application Developer or Senior Application Developer for Enterprise Applications to become part of a team implementing the cloud based Blackbaud CRM for UMB’s Philanthropy office. The selected candidate, under general direction, will independently design, develop and implement reports and application extensions using a variety of technologies. They will assist in on-going support and maintenance of the CRM application.
This is one position that will be filled as a Developer or Senior Developer depending on the selected candidate’s experience and education.
UMB is a public university and constituent institution of the University System of Maryland. All employees are expected to work primarily physically within the State of Maryland. Remote, hybrid work option available for Maryland-based candidates as well as those residing in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia willing to work part-time in Maryland.

PRIMARY DUTIES - Developer, IT Enterprise Application
Design, develop, test and maintain enterprise-wide software reports and application extensions throughout the lifecycle from inception to implementation for the cloud-based Blackbaud CRM System.Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Leverage application and reporting tools for Blackbaud CRM to deliver solutions.Leverage third party reporting tools such as PLSQL, Oracle Analytics, and similar Business Intelligence tools. Create technical documentation.Troubleshoot issues with application, integrations, and reporting. Understand and apply current campus software development methodologies.Communicate and coordinate with other team members to ensure project goals are met.Ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance of applications.Performs other duties as assigned.PRIMARY DUTIES - Developer, IT Enterprise Application Senior
Perform all duties of the Developer, IT Enterprise Application including:Designs, develops, tests, and maintains enterprise-wide software applications throughout the lifecycle from inception to implementation.Acts as an applications expert for campus functional staff and central office staff for some application modules.Translates functional requirements into technical design including system configuration and processing requirements.Assist in code migrations in development environments.Communicates and coordinates with other team members to ensure project goals are met.Analyzes ERP software applications and evaluates campus requirements against available solutions.Identifies system inefficiencies and recommends effective solutions.Maximizes function and effectiveness of enterprise applications by collaborating with database and systems administration staff.Interacts with functional staff and campus community to troubleshoot issues and design and implement resolutions.Ensures documentation, functional and technical specifications are up-to-date.May lead and train other staff associated with enterprise-wide application developmentPerforms other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications- Developer, IT Enterprise Application
