Mars Global Services (MGS) remains a critical enabler for Mars Inc. delivering business value through industry best processes, technologies & data insights. As part of the Digital Technologies, the Enterprise Applications & Analytics team partners closely with the Corporate & MGS service lines to deliver key strategic priorities enabled through ‘best in class’ technologies & capabilities. PMO continues to be a foundational capability driving such significant digital change, and as a result has created an exciting opportunity for a PMO Senior Lead to join the Enterprise Applications & Analytics team.
This role will lead PMO for large-scale programs, driving committed scope forward, on schedule/on budget to deliver capabilities for Corporate Finance & MGS enabling Processes. Reporting Line, will be into PMO, but daily partnering with the FinTech Program Leaders and MGS Digital Technology Leaders.
What will be your key responsibilities?Leadership & Management: Establish and lead PMO team, drive workload forward with structure/rigor & supported with data points to hold teams accountable to deliver committed scope/schedule on budget. Schedule Management – Effectively manage the integrated schedule for the transformation. This includes ensuring proactive management of deliverables, holding projects to milestone adherence.Dependency & Interdependency Management – Identify, track, and manage of dependencies inside & outside the direct control of the program.Project Governance: Establish and maintain Mars SDCL project management standards, methodologies, and best practices.Performance Monitoring: Track and report on project performance impartially, leveraging SDCL metrics & driving decision making & ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.Operational Reporting: Deliver PMO insights to support Corp FinTech’s portfolio office, drive connected insights on resourcing, schedule, scope, cost etc.Manage Project Document & Reporting: Update program level reporting, updating on overall project status, achievements, RAID etc.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure successful delivery, proactively resolve roadblocks, before they impact executionResource Allocation: Optimize project resource allocation and utilization of project resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives.Collaboration: Develop working relationships and embed a one-team approach.Communication: Excellent interpersonal, presenting and relationship management skills at all levels of the organization, including C-level stakeholders and 3rd parties. What are we looking for?Excellent understanding of industry standard project management methodologies (e.g. SDLC, Waterfall, Agile (Kanban, Scrum, SaFe) - ensuring business success through deployment to run state. +10 years’ experience of IT PMO delivery for large CPG/FMCG, driving SAP S/4HANA transformation or finance transformations .S/4 Hana experience & finance systems knowledge: Understanding of complex IT landscapes (e.g. Success Factors, SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP CFIN, PaPM, Blackline, OpenText VIM, OneStream, MDG) Experience providing clear work direction and leadership to project teams, can influence others without direct reporting lines, deliver in matrixed team environment (multi-vendor. & Mars internal teams). Proficient in SAP activate methodology & general SDLC best practice Experienced in using PM & demand management tools (Smartsheet, ServiceNOW SPM, JIRA, MS Project Management, Monday.com)Obtained project management qualifications (PMP, Prince2 or equivalents) – highly desirable.Ability to work cooperatively at all levels in a matrix environment, lead by example and drive team morale & work-effectively with others. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, sharing updates into different exec forums & at project/program level meetings. The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate).
