The Enterprise Architect is responsible for ensuring that AmeriCorps’ overall IT architecture is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security and quality. The primary role of the Enterprise Architect is to ensure that the respective business, application, data, and technology perspectives are in line with the organization’s technology and governance strategies, policies, and standards.

Our work depends on an Enterprise Architect joining our team to help AmeriCorps to facilitate volunteers and service organizations around the country by identifying, evaluating, and architecting new technology solutions, primarily Azure-based cloud and AI software initiatives.
HOW AN ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Serves as key technical expert in an area of expertise or across multiple areas, providing strategic consulting to AmeriCorpsWork with the infrastructure and architecture team to ensure that new technologies work with existing infrastructureIntroduce new and exciting technologies to a customer that is ready to implement change Focus on maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure and information systems to both create and implement AmeriCorps’ technology strategy and visionWork closely with the CyberSecurity Lead to secure the network and eliminate vulnerabilitiesWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Masters of Science preferred
Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience

Align technology solutions design and architecture to business needs around process standardization and integration.Conduct Enterprise Architecture Board (EAB) reviews and build enterprise level technical standards and frameworks. Understanding of Architecture models like DoDAF, FEA, Zachman, and TOGAFLocation: Hybrid (mostly Remote with some time in downtown Washington, DC)
