It is a fully remote role that will need to be based in the U.S. You must meet our U.S. Eligibility requirements for work authorization as noted under Position Summary Role Summary: The GBS Financial and Retirement Services business brings together foundational strategic technology capabilities that support and enable customer and sales experiences throughout the enterprise. We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect with an impactful strategic and technology mindset to drive the solution management framework for the organization, efficient technical solutions for unique business needs, and develop the technology strategic roadmap. We wish to drive engagement and loyalty within our existing customer base and attract new customers to the Gallagher brand. This pivotal role will leverage expertise in software development and system architecture to drive the design, solution, and implementation of innovative solutions and capabilities that enhance customer engagement and experiences while optimizing business processes. This role will collaborate with product and technology teams to streamline efficient, innovative solutions against business demand. The role will collaborate closely with business partners, Engineers, Architects, and Leadership to communicate the overall vision and technology strategy, manage stakeholder expectations in support of optimizing our technology investments driving our strategic roadmap. How you'll make an impact Designing and establishing a modular, state of the art digital & IT architecture that is flexible and scalable with business needs and supports business differentiating initiatives with state-of-the-art, tailored solutions. Working with executive leadership to design the digital strategy with the product teams and the business to guide IT investment decisions and to build the transformation roadmap Proactively and holistically leading and supporting Enterprise Architecture activities that strategically guide business and operating models, people, processes and technology. About You Serve as the technical advisors to the Executive Leadership Developing and maintaining the target architecture across Data, Applications, Infrastructure, Security and Compliance to realize digital strategy, optimize the IT landscape and handle technical debt. Set architecture principles and standards (in collaboration with DAs and SAs) and handle a central architecture repository / SharePoint site. Advisory and stewardship of realization strategies and execution of transformation projects. Working closely with strategy and business leaders to create alignment between business and IT. Ensure compliance with established and emerging standards, including regulatory requirements, through collaboration with Cyber Security team and participation on Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) & Strategic Architecture Review Boards (SARB) Catalyze the architecture community of practice (CoP) and handle Architecture repositories (e.g., tech standards, artifacts, etc.) Facilitate application health assessment and technology debt identification (including application portfolio rationalization) Provide metrics, guidance and mentoring across the enterprise’s architecture community. Ensure connectivity with overall corporate Enterprise Arch / GTS EA special projects related to technology architecture – such as M365 architecture, M&A support, etc. Required Experience driving the development of enterprise architecture standards, processes, and artifacts at an enterprise level. 10+ years of active architecture, design, engineering, and implementation experience in a complex enterprise cloud environment. Demonstrated recent hands-on experience in the design, solutioning, engineering, and\or successful implementation of enterprise-grade software products. Deep experience with enterprise cloud transformation projects at-scale, including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS - primarily in Azure. Demonstrated recent hands-on engineering experience with core application integration technologies such as restful, event driven, and microservices technologies for large scale environments. Proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization, and in a variety of contexts. Recent experience with agile development methodologies, with a focus on SAFe and ARTs. Recent hand-on experience with modern software engineering concepts (e.g. CI/CD, DevOps, containers, microservices, etc.). Subject matter expertise in one or more software engineering specialties with broad exposure to relevant technology domains. Demonstrated expertise in designing highly available, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cloud native platforms and solutions. Demonstrated ability to optimize the performance of enterprise software systems and/or components. Be a compelling storyteller with experience communicating complex technical concepts and ideas to engineers and non-engineers alike. Experience with Customer and Sales domains preferred; FinTech experience highly desirable. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
