Enterprise Architecture Director

POSITION SUMMARY 

The position provides technical leadership and has overall responsibility for Enterprise and Business Solutions architecture function for Provident Bank while playing a key role in developing technology strategies.
This role requires the individual to ensure that the bank's technology strategy aligns with its overall business strategy, with a focus on ensuring that the bank's systems are scalable, secure, and compliant with regulatory requirements. 
Establish the Enterprise Architecture practice in the bank, and ensure blue prints (Technical Impact Assessments) are created for all key applications and the TIA portfolio and process is adopted and be-comes part of regular Initiative Life Cycle for the bank. Will be required to work with the business line and technology leaders to collaboratively identify and design solutions that are resilient and consistent with the patterns and platforms of Enterprise Architec-ture, and in alignment with Provident Bank’s technology strategy.

 

  MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES      

•    Develop and maintain the bank's technology architecture vision, standards and roadmap to en-sure alignment with the overall business strategy and budget requirements.
•    Lead the development and continuous improvement of technology standards, policies, and pro-cedures to ensure consistency across the bank's systems and applications.
•    Build relationships with business leaders to understand their technology needs and gain buy-in for proposed solutions.
•    Lead the evaluation and selection of new technology solutions and vendors to ensure that the bank's technology architecture remains up-to-date and aligned with industry best practices.
•    Establish the Enterprise Architecture practice in the bank, and ensure blue prints (Technical Impact Assessments) are created for all key applications and the TIA portfolio and process is adopted and becomes part of regular Initiative Life Cycle for the bank. 
•    Partner with the bank's risk and compliance teams to ensure that all technology solutions are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
•    Lead Architecture governance and design change control.
•    Ensure that the bank's technology solutions are scalable, secure, and resilient to support busi-ness growth and continuity.
•    Provides leadership working in conjunction with the other technology leaders in the bank in de-veloping and setting dev/ops strategies for the development areas within Business Solutions.
•    Provide leadership and guidance to the enterprise architecture team, ensuring that team mem-bers have the necessary skills and resources to deliver on their responsibilities and are allocated aligned with bank priorities.
•    Recruit and retain top talent in the solutions architecture field.
•    Develop and manage the enterprise architecture budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support the bank's technology strategy.

SKILLS AND TRAINING

•    Strong leadership skills, with experience leading and managing teams.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex tech-nical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
•    Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

 

EDUCATION 

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree pre-ferred.
          

  WORK EXPERIENCE 

•    10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with at least 5 years of experience in a lead-ership role.
•    Experience working in the banking or financial services industry.
•    Experience with managing RFP, RFQ, RI or Proof of Concept engagements.
•    Knowledge of industry best practices in enterprise architecture, including TOGAF, Zachman Framework, and/or other related frameworks.
•    Working knowledge of market trends, benchmarks and best practices that drive technical ex-cellence while identifying cost saving opportunities.
•    Experience working with senior executives and stakeholders to align technology strategy with business goals.
