Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a robust regulatory intelligence strategy for enterprise data and AI initiatives.
Take ownership of the regulatory intelligence service capability, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and compliance standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to data standards and regulations, offering expert guidance on compliance matters.
Identify and assess risks and opportunities associated with data and AI handling within the framework of regulatory requirements.
Provide support to strategy and governance teams in their day-to-day activities, including ad hoc reporting on trends, analysis, and status.
Oversee regulatory risk, change management, and assurance activities, including sample auditing and feedback/escalation on compliance.
Act as a deputy for the Enterprise Data and AI Regulatory Intelligence Lead, ensuring continuity during their absence and intensive periods.
Experience and Qualifications:
Proven experience and a strong understanding of privacy, data, and AI regulatory requirements application within the pharmaceutical context, preferably from a legal or risk perspective.
In-depth understanding of relevant statutory frameworks applying to data governance globally, with specific knowledge of regulations in the EU, US, China, and other key markets.
Experience in other areas of law, such as competition, contract, or intellectual property law, would be a strong advantage.
Familiarity or experience with the Enterprise Data Governance approach and the 3 Lines of Defense Model.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
