This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

ESSENTIAL JUB FUNCTIONS/ PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Develop and evolve data technology roadmap to align with evolving business needs and enterprise data strategy, incorporating reference architecture diagrams and canonical models in areas such as:
o Data Management and Quality
o Data Governance
o Data Architecture, Modeling, and Design
o Data Integration
o Data Security
o Master Data and Metadata Management
· Design end-to-end data workflows, defining overall architecture, capabilities, platforms, tools, and governing processes.
· Create, maintain, and communicate strategies for data capabilities and tools.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with enterprise guidelines for security, auditability, data governance, and metadata management.
· Leverage modern data architecture by utilizing designs such as data mesh, data fabric, and data virtualization.
· Define and improve best practices, guidelines, and integration with other enterprise solutions.
· Apply and integrate AI and ML to data management, including Large Language Models (LLM) and neural networks, for:
o Data Discovery
o Data Quality
o Data Accessibility
o Data Security
· Monitor technology trends, discover new tools and capabilities of interest.
· Benchmark data and technology capabilities with industry analysts and other companies.
· Maintain strategic relationships with technology vendors and external communities/partners.
· Lead education and training for data and analytics community.
· Provide strategic decision-making guidance within technical disciplines, respond to disruptive data technologies, and solve unique and complex problems.
· Define data strategies by supporting business function needs and goals through information delivery and data exploration.

MININMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
· Five or more years of experience in designing and implementing data architectures and complex, high-quality data and analytical solutions.
· Two or more years in designing data architectures, detailed workflows, best practices, and governance guidelines and advising on necessary technologies.
· Experience designing and developing enterprise data and analytical solutions, including ETL, cloud architecture, and data design.
· Knowledge of data modeling (e.g., Dimensional, Relational, Star Schema).
· Familiarity with cloud-first architecture.
· Ability to phase the delivery of data and analytical solutions to meet immediate needs while building towards long-term strategic solutions (e.g., data mesh, data fabric, data products/domains, artificial intelligence/machine learning).
· Understanding of holistic enterprise architecture and the interplay of analytical components with foundational components. (data architecture/governance, security, etc.)
· Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Skill in developing and exercising cross-functional influence, aligning business and technical teams around a common architecture vision.
· Ability to switch effortlessly from summary views for leadership to hands-on discussions with practitioners.
