Enterprise Data Management - Data Platform Development (Developer III)

Neuberger Berman is seeking a proactive developer to support the firm’s enterprise data platform initiatives. This individual will focus on developing, maintaining, and optimizing components of the enterprise data platform to enable the firm's data-driven innovation and operational excellence. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement technical solutions and ensure the seamless delivery of data capabilities across the organization.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated and technically proficient professional looking to contribute to the firm's data and analytics vision, while furthering their expertise in modern data technologies and cloud-based solutions.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Assist in the design, development, and deployment of data platform components, focusing on scalability, performance, and security.
+ Develop and maintain data ingestion, storage, processing, and publication pipelines using tools such as Snowflake, Kafka, Spark, and Data Bricks.
+ Collaborate with senior developers and platform architects to implement cloud-native solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
+ Support the development of data engineering pipelines to enable analytics and machine learning capabilities.
+ Contribute to the integration of the enterprise data platform with other systems to ensure seamless data flow and usability for stakeholders across the firm.
+ Troubleshoot and optimize existing platform components to improve performance and reliability.
+ Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to improve platform capabilities and efficiency.
+ Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards in all development activities.
**Requirements:**
+ Minimum of 4+ years of related experience in data engineering, platform development, or similar roles.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is a plus.
+ Hands-on experience with data platform tools such as Java, Kafka, Spark, Snowflake, and Data Bricks.
+ Familiarity with technologies for data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics.
+ Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and cloud deployment models.
+ Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale data systems.
+ Foundational knowledge of data governance, data security, and best practices for enterprise data management.
+ Understanding of scalable data pipelines and workflows to support analytics and business intelligence.
+ Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
+ Strong communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges independently.
+ Desire to stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to the firm’s data innovation.

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $110,000-$135,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
