Enterprise Fraud Service Specialist
, a division of UMB Bank n.a. **Duties & Responsibilities:** This position will support UMB's protection against multi-channel payment fraud loss. These payment channels will include Check, Digital Online Banking, Mobile, Wire, ACH & P2P. Responsible for mastering the associated systems and tools used for tracking fraud prevention and fraud claims work. Responsible for communicating effectively, professionally, and timely (via phone, email, chat and in person) to internal and external customers regarding fraud matters. Works closely with line of business partners to identify adverse impacts to customers, provide solutions, and implement change to ensure the best customer experience. Responsible to continually evaluate the effectiveness of existing case management tools and identify report any performance gaps or defects. Adheres to the applicable regulatory requirements governing fraud claims for cards, checks, ACH, and wire. Responsible for developing and implementing tests and audits; monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analysis; developing and conducting training programs. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for Quality Control Audit reviews to ensure the team's compliance with operating procedures and regulatory requirements. Responsible to provide direct coaching and feedback to analysts on opportunities identified through the QC processes to the respective analysts as required. Responsible to provide subject matter expert support on bank projects relevant to cards, checks, ACH, and wire, including mobile banking applications and online banking platforms. Communicates regularly with peer banks and industry organizations to maintain awareness of industry risks and trends. Must be familiar with principles of project management. Must stay current with UMB's fraud policies and procedures. Furnishes and delivers professional presentations at various forums and committees to multiple levels of leadership. Must be able to deliver to stringent timelines confidently. Other duties as assigned. **Knowledge & Skills:** Minimum: • Demonstrates in depth knowledge of back-office fraud claims processing or fraud prevention. • Demonstrates aptitude for problem solving, analytics, and reporting • Demonstrates ability to manage time and meet deadlines works under very limited supervision multiple tasks simultaneously • Demonstrates ability to work proactively & collaboratively in a team environment • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrates ability to work proactively & collaboratively in a team environment • Demonstrates ability to partner with multiple lines of business to achieve common goal PREFERRED: • Working knowledge of fraud operations applications •Ability to navigate multiple systems • Experience with industry fraud case management tools. • Experience with back office operations dealing with VISA charge-back rules, NACHA Rules and Deposit Regulations. • Demonstrates knowledge of report building and presentation of analysis results Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (emphasis on Excel) • Experience creating Business Requirement Documents •Experience in User Acceptance Testing **Requirements:** Minimum: • High School education Some College completed • 4+ years of experience in check, ACH, wire, or digital banking fraud prevention or claims. Or any combination of fraud and banking operations experience. • Strong Problem Solving Skills • 2-years Customer Service Experience Preferred • College Degree • 4+ years of cross functional fraud experience in a financial industry. • 2+ year of non-card fraud claims experience. **Work environment:** Typical office environment **Compensation Range:** $51,480.00 - $99,330.00 _The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
