Position Summary:

Applications Engineers have a significant role in implementing processes, documentation and startup of all jobs. This position is also responsible for customer and employee product training, quality control, engineering standards, engineering/startup scheduling, and assisting in pre-bid review. Enterprise Integration Specialists are also responsible for configuration and documentation of servers, IP cameras, access control panels, and other systems in the Everon office before deployment to customer sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Consults with the Customer and/or IT Departments in the analysis and specifications of computer hardware/software system needs to meet Scope of project tasks System capacities Hardware/software specifications and compatibility Recommends and manages the implementation, upgrade and maintenance of network equipment such as printers, servers, routers, switches and firewalls Provides escalated troubleshooting to Enterprise Integration Specialists within the Technology group Provides escalated troubleshooting for installation technicians working with clients Work with the project installation team and the Project Manager at the time of startup to ensure all aspects of the system are working, tested documented and reporting properly  Maintain and optimize the process to label, configure, load manufacture software, and test complete system on customer workstations, servers, network equipment, custom software in the office environment prior to system installation Maintain manufacture specific training syllabuses, ensuring information is current and relevant for training on systems that Everon sells and maintains Provides escalated troubleshooting for installation technicians working with clients  Manages the top priorities of the EIS Solutions Support and service Act as the technical support backup for the installation and service department as needed Support sales by reviewing the functionality and design of systems being proposed by sales or consultants Work with the Estimators as a technical resource Estimate accurate engineering hours on all projects and ensure engineering and training hours posted do not exceed estimated values Maintain the programming matrix and project files on the company file server Remain up to date with company policies, procedures and products Remain up to date on industry standards and technological developments Study literature and attend seminars to keep current in products, processes and materials Other duties as assigned

Education:

2 - year degree in a technical capacity is desirable 4 or more years in the technical industry: server infrastructure, software, networking 

Language Ability:

The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The Ability to speak effectively one-on-one or before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to read and interpret applicable documents, materials, policies, procedures, etc. as presented in English

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Networking TCP/IP, MS Operating Systems, MS Word, MS Excel, design software, project management software and programmable logic software. They must also be able to recognize the dynamic nature of software and must adjust their skill set to new technologies as they become important to the success of the Company. Currently, an individual should have knowledge of a wide range of software including core competencies in the installation and maintenance of Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office and Microsoft SQL. This position also requires some knowledge of firewall implementation, switch configuration, and network segmentation and subnetting.

Certifications and Licenses:

CCDA, CCNA & MSCE are preferred. In addition, Limited Energy JLE/RET, MCSE and manufacture training certificates are desired.

Pay and Benefits Disclosure: The pay range for this role is $64,035-128,069 and is based on experience and qualifications. We offer employees access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and paid time off among others. Employees accrue up to 80 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
