Job Summary
The Customer Lifecycle Engineering and Quality organization has an exciting opportunity available for a Specialist-level Technical Marketing Engineer, who will daily represent HP’s Enterprise firmware code bases, and Solutions (software).
This role provides opportunity to get lots of hands-on experience with HP’s enterprise customers, working closely with channel partners, global R&D and qualification teams, to root cause and drive resolution on critical customer issues.
Main Responsibilities
Act as a customer advocate and quality champion within GBUInteract directly with R&D development teams to root cause customer found defectsLead and manage complex field escalations, which may include direct customer/partner interactionParticipate and influence the development of future products and solutionsDevelop white papers, technical notes, support and training materialSupport early evaluation programs from a firmware, software and solution perspectiveKnowledge and Skills
Strong understanding of printing system architectures, embedded systems, client/server infrastructure, networking technologies and operating systems (e.g. Windows, MAC, etc.)Strong decision-making skills, and an ability to coordinate cross-functional teamsStrong troubleshooting skills with a focus on problem-solving resolution in complex print systemsStrong desire to work directly with customers/partnersAbility to multi-task and deal with time-sensitive situationsOperational knowledge of firmware development: from defect/feature specification to releasePositive attitude and teamwork spirit, especially with remote teamsSelf-starter and proactive mindsetEffective documentation skillsCommon Methods and Tools

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent3-5 years’ professional experience in the technical industryDesire to use expertise and experience to effectively serve HP’s Enterprise print customerThe base pay range for this role is $90,100 to $138,750 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
