About the job

Position:                            Enterprise Risk Director


Previous experience:  Proven experience leading Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in a large, global corporate environment, with a focus on embedding risk management practices across business functions. Strong track record of presenting risk insights and mitigation strategies to senior leadership. Familiarity with corporate governance frameworks such as the UK Governance Code and PCAOB standards.

The job

Lead AVEVA’s day to day Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process and develop it to a more mature level alongside other second line functions and Internal Audit. Ensure that the AVEVA leadership has good understanding of the key risks impacting the business and work with them in developing and understanding mitigation strategies

Key Responsibilities

Develop ERM for AVEVA building on the existing processes and approachImprove existing strategy, policies and processes to identify and manage risk responseEstablish ERM framework and taxonomyPrepare concise and insightful risk reports as required under AVEVA’s governance modelEmbed risk management practices into key business functions, including key risk indicatorsDrive the fraud risk assessment process and maintain the associated risk frameworkDevelop fraud risk assessment criteriaCoordinate with other 2nd LOD functions to ensure the cycle of risk assessment, risk response, assurance and feedback is completedMaintain Group Risk RegisterManage ‘Emerging Risks’ initiative and align with Going Concern, Viability and other resilience initiativesMaintain value adding working relationships with leadership across the businessEnsure correct allocation of risk ownership and facilitate assignment of interfunctional or interdependent risks.Keep abreast of the latest developments in enterprise risk management and apply these where relevantConsider internal / external factors and rate of change to corroborate the risk assessment processProvide insight on emerging and cross-functional risks to leadership and drive coordinated approach.Support risk disclosures in external reporting

Ideal Experience

Experience implementing and running ERM within a comparable global corporate business demonstrating the value of effective risk managementExperience of presenting at C-Suite levelDetailed knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management practices and wider corporate governance frameworks, including the UK Governance Code and PCAOB standards
