The opportunity
This role is ideal for an experienced risk specialist who is passionate about risk management and eager to lead the maturation of BDA's Enterprise Risk Management framework. The successful candidate will adopt an integrated approach to facilitate and manage the evolution of BDA's Enterprise Risk Management framework and work closely with key stakeholders, including the Quality, Product and Service Safety, and Environment, Health, and Safety functions.
This role is suitable for an experienced professional who can exercise a pragmatic approach to delivering business outcomes in a complex organisation and a highly technical, innovative, and regulated industry. The position will report to the Manager - Assurance, Risk, and Compliance (ARC) within the BDA Operations function. The role is ideally based in BDA's Brisbane head office, however alternative locations and remote work options will be considered for the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities:
Champion risk management standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives to lead system maturation, manage risk, and achieve business objectivesConduct comprehensive risk assessments, develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and frameworksStay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to risk managementProvide training and support to staff on risk management principles and practicesSupport the strategic direction of Assurance, Risk and Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a risk-aware culture and ensure effective risk communicationMonitor and report on Principal Risks, key risk indicators and risk trends to senior managementContinue to develop BDA Enterprise Risk Management processes with an integrated approach to organisational risk management in consultation and collaboration with BDA's operational risk subject matter expertsEnsure Enterprise Risk Management outcomes and processes comply with organisational requirements including Boeing Enterprise, customer contract and engineering requirements, as well as company procedures and government regulationsThe successful candidate will:
Hold a tertiary qualification in risk management or a related field and 5+ years' related work experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in a risk management lead/specialist role within a commercial and/or aviation organisationStrong understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologies (e.g. ISO 31000)Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) (Desirable)Strong and effective collaboration skills with the ability to achieve successful and integrated outcomes across functional areas, programs and business unitsApply systems thinking across multiple risk management frameworksDemonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and manage positive, effective stakeholder relationshipsExperience using or implementing Bow-Tie XP/Enterprise (Desirable)Eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security clearance and be cleared for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)About Us
