This position is located in our Sacramento, CA office with work performed at the client site in Sacramento, CA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable (within the Greater Sacramento area). You will be required to be at the client site 3 days per week.

How you'll make an impact
This is a senior leader role and seeking someone who has the breadth and depth of knowledge to lead the successful design and implementation of enhancements to the overall solution.
Client facing role and will work closely with the workstream leads to factor in considerations of the applications, new technologies, capacity planning, reporting, disaster recovery designs, HW/SW and cloud infrastructure, operations and database performance, internal and external interfaces, etc.
Participation in Business Development as a thought leader.
Principle responsibilities include:
• Working with the client to scope modifications and enhancements based on business and technical requirements
• Designing solutions with the team in support of the requirements
• Proposing software and configurations, presented considerations to inform client decisions
• Leading the technical workstreams to produce on time, on budget, high quality results
• Identifying automation opportunities to streamline deployments and maintenance
• Integrating and ensuring high quality deliver of both waterfall and Agile development methodologies to deliver changes and new solutions
• Identifying innovations to support business needs and selling the new solutions to the client
• Leading development and pitch of change requests to the client, including collaborating with third-party vendors and CGI on pricing
• Educating and mentoring team members
• Managing staff
• Contributing to new business development, including proposal writing and sales demos
What you'll bring
• 8+ years of Enterprise Solutions Architect experience
• Leadership experience with a large (50+ members) and diverse team
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with and coaching staff
• Excellent presentation skills
• Technical expertise and experience being part of the team architecting large scale enterprise solutions with 4+ COTS products, 25+ interfaces, a mobile app, 1,000+ users with disaster recovery and high availability
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in application integration within an AWS cloud hosted application
• An AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification (strongly preferred)
• Experience architecting solutions that meet performance and other technical SLAs
• Working technical knowledge across a breadth of disciplines to be able to ask challenging and probing questions to lead the joint team to the best possible solution and approach given factors of requirements, business milestones, budget, etc.
• Experience being part of a business development team pursuing enterprise opportunities
• Experience conducting estimations for and architecting on-premise and cloud solutions.
• Overseeing the implementation of solutions within a reasonable timeframe and budget based on the original estimation.
