As an Enterprise Solutions Engineer supporting our Government Enterprise team, you’ll play a key role in driving our mission forward.
About the Role: We’re looking for an experienced Enterprise Solutions Engineer to join our team. In this dynamic, customer-facing role, you’ll bring technical expertise, strategic vision, and a collaborative approach to help our Enterprise customers achieve their goals. Reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering, you will:
Lead discovery efforts and qualify complex enterprise opportunities. Shape large-scale deployments of our Grants Management t solution. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including executives, end-users, consultants, and engineering teams.How You’ll Make an Impact: Your ability to navigate technical challenges, communicate effectively, and build strategic solutions will ensure an exceptional customer experience while driving impactful results.
Be a Trusted Advisor: Partner with customers and stakeholders to ensure our solutions align with their technical and strategic goals. Provide insights and recommendations that enhance both the implementation process and long-term outcomes. Own the Technical Sales Process: Lead technical discovery, deliver compelling demos, build proofs of concept, and drive technical evaluations. Ensure seamless handoffs to Implementation and Customer Success teams. Create Strategic Solutions: Design tailored solutions that demonstrate the transformative potential of Submittable’s Grants Management and Employee Engagement products. Foster Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, to deliver holistic, scalable solutions. Elevate the Practice: Develop and refine tools, processes, and collateral to advance our Solutions Engineering capabilities and improve scalability. Inspire Action: Represent Submittable in external engagements, such as conferences and webinars, to highlight our mission and showcase the impact of our solutions.About You: We’re looking for candidates who combine technical expertise, business acumen, and a passion for creating meaningful change.
Experience & Expertise
2+ years in a solutions engineering or consulting role in SaaS environments (enterprise business software, grants management, government enterprise software, or similar), focusing on customer impact. Proficiency in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON) and familiarity with APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms. A proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges in pre-sales contexts.Builder Mentality

Salary Details: This role's base salary pay range(s) is $92,000-$135,000 USD. This range represents the base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings (OTE) for commissionable roles. At Submittable, salary ranges may include several career levels. Salaries are determined by multiple factors, including location, local market variances, candidate experience and expertise, and internal peer equity, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Salary is just one component of Submittable’s total rewards package, which, depending on the position offered, may include additional compensation, such as equity awards and/or commission/bonus.
