JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Sustainable Finance Strategy & Commercialization, the Intern will work with the Sustainability & Corporate Citizenship team and key internal business partners to support strategic initiatives as it relates to the Bank's sustainability strategy & ESG framework. The intern will also monitor key market developments and technologies across various sectors and share key takeaways to identify new opportunities for the Bank.
Potential work areas:
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure execution of project deliverables, including preparing briefs, decks, and summaries for executive audiences;Manage the research, tracking and communication of key developments in the ESG/climate space, specifically for sustainable finance; andConduct data analysis to identify business/sector trends relating to low-carbon or social growth.What the successful candidate can expect to gain:
Understanding of sustainability, cleantech, and sustainable finance within a financial institution;Exposure to multiple areas of TD's business, including wholesale banking, personal banking, asset management, and insurance; andUnderstanding of how new initiatives are developed within a financial institution.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce, engineering or related fieldMust be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work termExcellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically PowerPoint and ExcelStrong analytical and data management skills and experience with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of dataStrong relationship building skills -- a good "people person"Strong project management skills and commitment to meeting deadlinesAbility to work independently, think critically, multitask, and make decisions in a fast-paced environmentStrong critical thinking, research and analysis skills, with the ability to uncover and synthesize findings and results based on complex technical information and dataExperience in the financial services industry or sustainability is an assetADDITIONAL INFORMATION
