The Enterprise Technology Architect specializing in Infrastructure is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's infrastructure architecture. This role focuses on ensuring that the underlying IT infrastructure—comprising servers, storage, networks, and data centers—supports the organization's strategic objectives and operational needs.

The Enterprise Technology Architect collaborates with various stakeholders, including IT, business units, and senior leadership, to develop and enforce infrastructure policies, standards, and procedures.

 

You Will

 

Strategic Planning and Alignment:

 

Develop and maintain the organization's infrastructure architecture framework. Ensure alignment between infrastructure initiatives and business objectives. Conduct infrastructure assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Architecture Design and Implementation:

 

Design and implement scalable, secure, and high- performance infrastructure solutions. Develop and oversee the deployment of servers, storage systems, networks, and data centers. Ensure that the infrastructure architecture supports cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.

Policy and Standards Development:

 

Create and enforce infrastructure policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain best practices for infrastructure management and governance.

Collaboration and Communication:

 

Collaborate with IT, business units, and external partners to integrate infrastructure solutions into overall business processes. Provide guidance and training to staff on infrastructure best practices. Communicate infrastructure strategy and architecture to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Project Management and Oversight:

 

Lead projects related to the implementation, upgrade, and optimization of infrastructure solutions. Manage cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of infrastructure changes.

Continuous Improvement:

 

Stay updated on the latest infrastructure trends, innovations, and best practices. Continuously assess and improve the infrastructure architecture. Participate in audits and assessments to ensure the robustness of infrastructure solutions.

 

Your Skills

Proficiency in designing and managing servers, storage, networks, and data centers. Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments. Deep understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security controls. Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong understanding of infrastructure security principles and best practices. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), or VMware Certified Professional (VCP). Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in infrastructure architecture or related roles, with at least 3 years in an enterprise architecture role. Experience in managing infrastructure projects and initiatives. Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and business environments. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards in the infrastructure domain (e.g., ISO 27001,  NIST).
