Summary:
The Enterprise Telecommunications Administrator at Pacific Seafood plays a critical role in managing our enterprise-wide telecommunications systems and services, ensuring seamless communication across dozens of locations. This position requires a deep understanding of both cloud-based telecom systems and traditional PBX/VoIP infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing telephone and data circuits, overseeing vendors, ensuring business continuity, and leading the transition to a unified cloud-based communication solution. This role demands a high level of technical expertise and project management skills, with a focus on driving efficiency and optimizing performance across our telecom environment.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage Communication Lines:Manage telephone and data circuits enterprise-wide.Monitor contracts to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.Manage relationships with telecom vendors.Oversee repair and change orders to maximize uptime and minimize business interruptions.Ensure redundancy and last-mile considerations are appropriately addressed.Manage Telephone Systems:Identify and implement a unified UCaaS solution.Lead the scheduling, management, and deployment of the new telecom solution across multiple locations.Drive cost-saving initiatives such as POTS line removal and circuit speed improvements.Assist with training, implementation, administration, and management of both existing telecom systems and the new unified solution.Patch and maintain telecom systems to ensure security and operational continuity.Monitor and Document Systems:Ensure that telecom systems are monitored and usage is tracked appropriately.Maintain detailed documentation for system features, costs, and renewal schedules.Assist in allocating telecom costs to the appropriate business entities within the organization.Other Duties:Collaborate closely with the Network and Systems teams to address infrastructure needs.Assist with departmental audits and compliance checks.Investigate issues and provide technical feedback to team members.What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required:Experience with cloud-based SaaS telecom systems (Ring Central, GoToMeeting, etc.).Experience with PBX and VoIP systems (ShoreTel, Mitel, etc.).Experience managing data center or broadband circuits.Proven experience migrating on-premises telecom systems to cloud-based SaaS solutions.Minimum of seven years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.Valid driver’s license.Preferred:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related field.
