Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to drive improvements to an enterprise wide business tool. This individual contributor technical resource will have Programmer and Developer expertise and accomplish the following scope of work: develop and deploy tool changes and improvements as requested by the tool system administrator and support day-to-day tool support as needed.  This role will also include administrative support and customer interaction.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Technical Resource will provide support in the following areas:

Develop and deploy enterprise tool changes and improvements as requested by the system leadDevelop test methods to ensure adequacy and correctness of changes prior to implementationDevelop test schemes that include user testingSupport day to day support as neededReview requests for new/add-on features and collaborate with the system lead to address business need, urgency, schedule/timingParticipate in the development of tool improvement planning/scheduling.The Technical resource will partner cross functionally as applicable as part of assessing and implementing changes.Assist in decision-making that impacts the success of day-to-day operations.Support customer interactions on tool operational issues.Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma required; associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferredMinimum of 5 years of industry experience in Java, Oracle, JBOSS, Linus application programming and user interfaces or equivalent experienceUS Citizen due to ITAR and customer requirementsSolid customer service and communication/presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical expertise and experience in the following areas is needed to perform job duties:Knowledge of data structures, object-oriented design, algorithms, exception handling, and troubleshootingExperience with Java application/development APIs and frameworks that run on JBOSS on Linux and/or Unix hostAbility to identify and make changes/improvements with a knowledge of Linux scriptsExperience with Oracle database design to support data warehousing and web-based applicationsExperience with RESTful (Represent State Transfer) web services and designExperience converting legacy Java applications to utilize more modern technologies a plus.Experience remediating security vulnerabilities in Java web applicationsExperience with cloud-based servers/databases, particularly Azure/MicrosoftGood problem-solving capability that includes creative solution developmentChange agent, constantly challenging conventional thinking, approach and methodologyRequires a high degree of initiative and accuracy; ability to test proposed system changesAbility to manage multiple priorities and projectsExcellent verbal and written communications skills coupled with a customer mindset
