Enterprise Valuation Analyst
Derives values for companies using discounted cash flow and relative valuation methods. Analyzes the company’s products/services, financial statements, industry, end markets, and outlook to determine appropriate valuation assumptions. Documents and reports results and assumptions with supporting rationale to credit officers, auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders. + Develops valuations or valuation reviews and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs. + Independently examines Borrower’s books and records; assesses and verifies the quality of cash flow forecasts and earnings. + Verifies enterprise valuation policies and standards are accurately applied and adhered to. + Documents and reports results of enterprise valuation on an individual and summary basis. + Identifies where corrective actions are required (e.g. new comparables, revised forecasts, valuation discounts, and ) ensures corrective action is taken as necessary. + Builds effective relationships with internal stakeholders. + Employs systems (e.g. customized valuation reports, tracking reports etc.) to manage information. + Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting. + Consults with stakeholders to improve consistency and transparency of risk measurement, metrics and reporting. + Supports the development and promotion of an ongoing business/group program. + Executes work to deliver timely and accurate valuations and valuation reviews. + Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. **Qualifications:** + Typically between 1 – 3 years of relevant valuation experience and post-secondary degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration/Management, or Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Knowledge of discounted cash flow, comparable peers, and/or comparable sales/transactions valuations from education and/or business experience. + Proficient in business writing skills. + Ability to present analytical and financial results in a clear and concise manner. **Salary:** $44,000.00 - $82,000.00 **Pay Type:** Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
