Job Description: \n

Responsibilities\n

The EWANTOS SME will assist with the installation and configuration of existing and new WAN transport systems as directed by the AFCENT\/A6 leadership. The EWANTOS's full time duty location will be onsite at Shaw AFB, SC but travel may be required to countries within the CENTCOM Area of Operations.\n

Job duties: \n\nDevelop standardized testing and cutover plans for AFCENT WAN new \nEstablish testing and remote monitoring procedures to ensure reliable operation of WAN transport in theater.\nCollect networking metrics for analysis to determine sub-standard network performance both remotely and locally. Analyze a myriad of networking metrics and recognize sub- par network performance.\nConfiguring and troubleshooting QOS involving policing, shaping and\nReport system and network documented finds for analysis and trending of bandwidth and network security incidents.\nProvide first-level technical support to AFCENT users, escalates complex problems as \nAct as a consultant and provide feedback to the government to optimize the WAN transport networks.\nIdentify and evaluate the operational impact of all \nCoordinate with external agencies for outage resolution as required by local \nPerform notifications when outages occur IAW local policies, notification matrix, and any other SOPs, policy, and instructions.\n\n

Qualifications\n\nThree(3) or more years' relevant experience; AND Firewall experience. \nCCNA, and ITIL Foundations required. \nActive Secret Clearance required.\n\n
