Empathetic, detailed and diligent are important qualities when it comes to a career in Workers Compensation. In this role, you will walk employees through the claims process to ensure legal compliance. You will manage litigated, indemnity, and medical-only claims. Together with a team, you will work to ensure claims meet requirements from intake to resolution.
Highlights of your roleClaims Handling: Manage all indemnity and medical-only claims. Establish action plans based on case facts, protocols and regulatory issues. Maintain and review claim notes.
Jurisdictional Knowledge & OSHA Compliance: Maintain knowledge of jurisdictional requirements and ensure compliance with Marvin, state laws, and OSHA.
Collaboration & Information Gathering: Work with other departments to obtain and evaluate police reports, video footage, previous insurance claims and other information.
Risk Mitigation: Advise Site Environmental Health & Safety of injury trends and risk mitigation opportunities
Employee Communication: Manage employee expectations and concerns surrounding the claims process.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)Ability to quickly problem solve, and address urgent issues within parameters of Marvin’s Workers Compensation Program and state statutes
Proficiency in claims handling systems and Microsoft Office
Willingness to periodically work outside of core hours and travel up to 10% per year
Also want to make sure you have2+ years of direct Workers Compensation or insurance/claims handling experience.
Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing and/or transportation environment preferred.
