Entertainment Lead - Audio and Sound

Job Summary:
Including but not limited to overseeing the design/development/execution and maintenance of all aesthetic levels of entertainment/special events and new show development as it relates to sound and sound design.
Activities Include:
Act as a consultant for park sound including, but not limited to thematic (Ride and Area Sound), hardware recommendations and other design concepts. Indirectly responsible for the delegated activities of the seasonal tech/work crew staff, including, employee policies and procedures, staffing, scheduling, safety, maintenance, documentation, and daily operations of all special events and venues. Acts as liaison between Six Flags Over Texas and producers in handling artistic/creative differences as needed and arriving at a mutually acceptable resolution. Maintains show quality standards as set by production staff. Other duties and responsibilities as designated by department manager.
The ideal candidate must possess:
Prior theme park or entertainment or like management experience. Ability to communicate ideas, concepts and instructions both orally and in writing. Prior background in sound (design, control, and installation ) Strong conceptual and creative abilities as they pertain to show development. Extensive knowledge of technical theatre and theatre management. Valid Driver’s License with a clear background.
