Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to: + Responsible for performing the lighting design, load in, set-up, operation, load out and maintenance of all types of lighting, truss and other related equipment to be used for all entertainment events + Configures and hangs trusses and lighting for events + Sets-up portable dimmers and monitors for proper operation and safety + Operates lighting control systems + Designs lighting for entertainment and special events + Builds, maintains and repairs lighting fixtures, cables and other electrical equipment + Installs and monitors power distribution for events Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: + Operates follow spots + Operates fork trucks and lift equipment + Assists with any and all entertainment production tasks, as needed Minimum Education and Qualifications: + High School Diploma or equivalent + Three years of experience working with theatrical lighting equipment, including digital and computer based systems + Knowledgeable in the operation of professional lighting equipment + Experience in theatrical or architectural lighting design Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position: + Good communication skills + Good organizational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to delegate tasks + Knowledge of AutoCAD software Training Requirements: + Knowledge of digital and computer based lighting equipment + Knowledge of company specific hardware and software + Must be certified in the operation of fork trucks, motorized pallet jacks, scissor lifts and boom lifts Physical Demands and Work Environment: + Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend and climb for extended periods of time + Must be able to climb wire ladders to operate truss mounted follow spots + Must be able to lift and move all necessary equipment up to 75 lbs. + Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time + Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment with frequent interruptions + Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with this job.
